Scarborough Fair這首歌第一次爲我們所知應該是作爲美國電影《畢業生》(The Graduate)的插曲。這部電影是當時美國大學生很喜歡的電影，這首歌曲和那首The Sound of Silence（寂靜之聲）也都是頗受歡迎的。其實，西蒙和加芬克爾的唱片專輯“Parsley， sage， rosemary and thyme”是在1966年底問世的。電影《畢業生》是1967年上映的，吸納了其中兩首作爲插曲
