also的用法1：also是較正式的用詞，多用於書面語，基本意思是“也”“還”，表示兩件事的性質相近或兩件事情發生的時間相同，也可表示剛說過的話也適用於另一個人或物。在句中起補充追加的作用。

also的用法2：also主要用於肯定句和疑問句。在書面語中，also偶可用在no,nothing或其他帶有否定意義的詞之前，而在否定詞之後則不能用also,而要用either（但not also可用於反詰疑問句或修辭疑問句，偶爾也用於陳述句）。

also的用法3：also多位於實義動詞之前，非實義動詞或第一個非實義動詞之後，有時可放在整個謂語動詞之前，間或用於句末。偶爾爲了加強語氣， also還可放在句首。also在句中位置不同常會影響句子的意思。
