1、身體不舒服：「身體不舒服」是每個人最常用的請假理由，舉凡感冒、頭痛、拉肚子、嘔吐或是急性盲腸炎，都是可以作爲身體不舒服的理由，而且，通常身體狀況不佳，往往可以明顯看出來，所以，這個理由也是位居十大請假理由的首位。

2、家裏有事：「家裏有事」的定義很難確認，雖然也常被作爲請假的理由之一，但最好先了解你的老闆想法，確定可能會通過覈准的理由再提出請假申請。像是父母生病或是親人發生意外等，需要幫助處理，這時請假獲准的可能性比較高，另外像家裏廁所壞了、要找人修理。.。等事，有的老闆會認爲那是你的家事，不該影響他付給你薪水工作的時間，獲准的可能性就不高。而且，萬一你常提出請假理由卻未獲得准許，不但假沒休成，可能還影響老闆對你的印象，年終績效獎金可能就得有縮水的心理準備。

3、小孩生病：對許多職業婦女或是先生來說，「小孩子生病或是小孩子學校有事」是最常見的請假理由，尤其是現代許多家庭都是雙薪家庭，不論是先生或是太太，都是上班族，所以，小孩子一旦有發生任何事情的話，常常夫婦兩人，其中一人就得要請假處理。不管小孩生病情況嚴不嚴重，只要一拿小孩子名義出來，誰敢不答應你的請假？感情豐富的主管甚至還會眼含淚要你多保重，小孩沒好之前不急着上班；誰知道你是真的帶小孩到醫院掛急診、打點滴，還是到麥當勞吃漢堡玩溜滑梯？不過未婚的上班族可千萬不能利用這個理由，一來會引起老闆的懷疑，二來反而讓人懷疑你的私生活。

4、交通意外事故：對許多通車族來說，最令人頭痛就是「交通問題」，尤其是在上班時間發生任何交通事故，使得交通運輸受到影響，所以，「公車」或「火車誤點」都是許多上班族遲到請假的理由。這個理由通常會讓老闆感覺不高興，但絕對會被承認，不過先決條件是你必須要有誤點證明單。

5、車子拋錨：許多自己開車的上班族，最害怕的是碰到車子拋錨，往往就會動彈不得，不僅要趕快請修車廠來拖吊，還得向公司請假。不過，小心點，有的老闆不願認同這個理由，反而會教你用自己的年假代替，除非不得已，否則請善用！

8、當伴郎、伴娘：即使不是新娘或新郎的話，要當伴郎或伴娘也是個常見的請假理由。

9、喪假：萬一碰到親人去世，尤其是直屬親戚，這時就得請喪假，通常最長請假期間爲7天，但是，必須要事先報備。
