中國日本和瑞士，複數不需加 s;

英國法國荷蘭人，要把 man 變成 men ；

-an,-ian 各國人，後邊直接加 s.

S 叮得緊，只因兩條腿。

這些名詞都可看作複數，如：Your trousers are put on the e are my glasses?

若要表示“一條褲子”、“兩副眼鏡”，就必須用 a pair of,two pairs of 之類的短語，如：

a pair of trousers 一條褲子，two pairs of glasses 兩副眼睛

另外，有一些以s結尾的學科名詞，如 politics（政治）、mathematics（數學）、physics（物理）、phonetics（語音學）以及 news（消息）、means（手段）等，通常都當作單數看待。如：一條消息 a piece of news,數條消息 pieces of news

“某國人”的複數

“某國人”的複數有三種類型：

(1)Chinese,Japanese,Swiss 三國人單數複數同形，不需加 s;

(2)Englishman,Frenchman,Dutchman 複數要把 man 變爲 men;

（3）其他各國人以 -an,-ian 收尾的均直接加 s.如：Americans,Australians,Indians 等。
