anything special和somewhere nice中,分別用來修飾anything 和somewhere 的形容詞special和nice都被放在後面。形容詞一般應放在它所修飾的名詞之前,但當形容詞修飾由some, any, every, no等構成的複合不定代詞(如something, everything, nobody, anywhere等)時須後置。

(1)until作介詞,意爲“直到……時;到……爲止”。用於否定句時,常與not 連用,表示“在……之前;直到……才”。如:
We don’t go to school until eight.
直到8點我們纔去上學。
We didn’t leave until the rain stopped.
直到雨停了我們才離開。
(2)until作連詞,(相當於till)意爲“直到……時;到……爲止,指某一動作或狀態一直持續到until後面的詞語所表示的動作爲止,此時主句的謂語動詞是延續性動詞。如:
You should wait until he comes.
你應該等到他來。

5. while 與when
兩者都是連詞,意爲“當……的時候”,其區別如下:
(1)當從句中謂語動詞是瞬間動詞(即點動詞)時,只能用when,不能用while。e.g.:
Don’t forget to write to me when you get there. 到了那兒,別忘了給我寫信。
(2)當從句中謂語動詞是延續性動詞時,用while和when 均可。強調某一段時間內主句和從句中謂語動詞所表示的動作在同一時間發生多用while. 如:
You can make some notes while/when you watch English TV programmes. 當收看英語電視節目時節,你可以做一些筆記。
I was taking notes while the teacher was speaking. 老師講課時我在做筆記。
