探究一:the minute/moment(that)相當於as soon as 一...就...., 引導時間狀語從句,表示從句的動作一發生,主句的動作就馬上發生。

eg:He left as soon as he heard the news.他一聽到這個消息就走了。

當主句用一般將來時時,the minute/as soon as/when等引導的時間狀語從句用___________時,也就是“___________”的原則,和if條件狀語用法相同。

eg:Iwill callyou as soon as I get home.我一到家就給你打電話。

her 副詞 也不;都不,引導否定倒裝,表示前句的否定內容也適用於後者,意爲“一個不…另一個也不… ”。結構neither+be動詞/助動詞/情態動詞+主語

her of… 兩者都不(做謂語時常用單數形式)

探究:How to write a letter

1. 信頭:發信人地址和日期。

這部分中有時可省去發信人地址,但一般要寫日期。放在信紙的右上方。

2. 稱呼:對收信人的尊稱。

最普通的是Dear,但與Mr,Mrs,Miss等不同的是:Dear後一般用名字,而Mr,Mrs,Miss後不能單獨用名字,而只能是姓或姓與名,比如:對John Smith的稱呼,應該是Mr Smith,Mr John Smith或 Dear John.稱呼後面可用逗號或者冒號。

3. 信的正文。

4. 結尾:發信人對收信人的謙稱或敬語。放在信的右下方。

這部分要特別注意英語習慣,不可根據漢語意思寫上諸如“此致敬禮”、“祝您健康”之類的中國式的結尾語。常用的英語書信結尾語如下:

寫給同齡人或年長的朋友:Yours sincerely,Sincerely yours,Yours等等。

寫給好朋友:Love,With love, Best wishes等等。

寫給親戚:Love,With love,Affectionately yours,Your(ever)loving son(sister等等)。

5. 簽名。

簽名一般在結尾語的下面一行。

6. 常見的私人信件的開頭方式:

高興:I was so glad/pleased/happy to receive your letter.

感謝:Thank you for your wonderful gift / your interesting letter.

關心與詢問:How are you these days?/ How are you getting on these days?/ How are you getting on with your work/studies?

抱歉:I am sorry that I did not write to you sooner but I have been very busy these days.

一般在表示道歉沒有及時給對方寫信時,還要簡述原因或寫上安慰的話。

遺憾:I was sorry to learn that you did not do well in the examination. / I was so upset to hear that you are ill these days. I do hope you are getting better.
