Unit 7 Section Do You Think You Will Have Your Own Robot教學設計
Lead-in:
Let’s look at the pictures . What are these? What do you know about robots? What can they do? What do they look like? (They can do housework, clean the trash, work as waiters in the restaurant, work in factories, dance, do math problems... They have different shapes. Some look like humans, animals and other objects… )
And please look this picture from the passage, what are these robots doing? They are dancing.
Ok. First, let’s look at the title and the picture. Please guess what the passage is mainly about. (Robots.)

We know what robots can do in the movies, but what can they do in real life? Please read para2 and answer this question.
Q:What can robots do today?(They can help to build cars and they do simple jobs over and over again.)

With the development of robots,
1. What are scientists trying to do about robots now?(Scientists are now trying to make robots look like humans and do the same things as we do.)
will robots think likehumans in the future? What are the scientists’ opinions? (Some scientists think it will be difficult to make them really think like a human. But many other scientists think that robots will even be able to talk like humans in 25 to 50 years. )

It’s hard to say if robots think like humans, but some scientists believe that there will be more robots in the future.
1. What kinds of shapes will they have? /What will robots look like in the future? (Some will look like humans, and others might look like animals.)
2. Why did scientists make robots that look like snakes?(If buildings fall downwith people inside, theses snake robots can help look for people under the buildings. )
